Alfcen does not permit software distribution sites, in particular those who are making money with the work of others, to host or link to my software files for downloading. There are several dozens of such sites around, none of them have obtained permission to distribute or set links to alfcen software which are often outdated.

As of today, all "donationware" applications are freeware. Reason being, I do not have the time to properly maintain the large number of programs, because it is no longer possible for a private individual to ensure compatibility with the large variety of Pocket PC and Windows Phone models and operating systems. The freeware applications offered as-is on this site is written in Basic4ppc which supports Pocket PC 2000, Pocket PC 2002, WM2003, WM2003 SE and WM5.0 and WM6.0. All applications are VGA-aware!

Operation on the Pocket PC requires Microsoft .Net Compact Framework 2.0. The framework is pre-installed on ROM of most newer WM2003(SE) devices and above. The desktop versions require Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0. Please read more about frameworks.

Most programs are accompanied by a desktop version, wherever meaningful, using the screen size of Pocket PCs. Screen design, layout and fonts are optimized for Pocket PCs in that the display on desktops may differ. Please also appreciate that the menu bar in the desktop version is at the top of the screen. Functions unique to Pocket PCs are not available for the desktop version and vice-versa.

Please appreciate that none of the programs will run on iPhones, Palm, Clio, handheld PCs, SmartPhones and 240x240 screen Pocket PCs. Before installing any new software on your Pocket PC please make sure to backup your data in a storage card. Always keep a copy of the installers just in case you wish to roll back versions.
